Oracle-Related Installation Issues

The following Oracle related issues have been identified in Technical Support as frequent information required for customers and documented in the Knowledge Base. They may help as you install the Oracle Bundle on your server.

One of the first things needed is the correct CD containing the Oracle Software. The following Solution describes where that can be found.
TPI 130153: There is No Selection to Download the Pro/INTRALINK 8.0 Oracle Software Assistant from The Software Download Page On www.ptc.com

Another thing to be aware of is ensuring that you have the appropriate permissions to install the software. The following clarifies a step in the installation documentation.
TAN 130352: Administrator Rights Required When Installing the Oracle Bundle

And finally, using the incorrect CD will result in a request for the wrong Oracle Patch. Please refer to the TPI below for details.
TPI 130305: When Installing Oracle for Pro/INTRALINK 8.0 using the Oracle Installation Assistant for Pro/INTRALINK 3.4, the Oracle Patch 9.2.0.4 is requested instead of the patch 9.2.0.5.
