“Hate scrolling right to the vertical workspace listing scroll bar?”

Good news - you never have to scroll right to the vertical workspace listing scroll bar in the workspace anymore! New, in the next generation of Pro/INTRALINK and Windchill products, is the ability to optionally configure your system to display the workspace vertical scroll bar on the left instead of the right! Why is this so great? Now whenever you view the workspace in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire’s embedded web browser you can immediately scroll the workspace listing up and down instead of having to first scroll to the right then scrolling up and down then scrolling to the left to see the Pro/ENGINEER models in your workspace.

Setup

To configure your Pro/INTRALINK or Windchill system to display the vertical scroll bar on the left, administrators must set the following site-wide property on the method-server in the site.conf using the System Configurator or xconfmanager:

<Property name="com.ptc.core.htmlcomp.jstable.positionScrollbarLeftside" overridable="true" targetFile="codebase/wt.properties" value="true"/>

After changing the property, you must stop and restart the MethodServer. Whenever XML entries are added or changed in the site.conf the MethodServer needs to be restarted.

Note: The left hand scroll bar option can’t be a config.pro setting because workspace pages are server generated.
