  Confused about visualization issues?

We know there’s been some confusion about the migration from Pro/INTRALINK 3.x when it comes to visualization capabilities. Specifically, we have had many questions about how to achieve the same type of capabilities in the next generation of Pro/INTRALINK as are in Pro/INTRALINK 3.x when used with the standalone ProductView Graphics Server.

As way of a quick recap, the next generation of Pro/INTRALINK offers numerous benefits in the realm of visualization over Pro/INTRALINK 3.x. They are detailed here. Fundamental is the fact that viewables are stored not in a separate vault, but in the same, single repository (the next generation of Pro/INTRALINK.)

This change requires users to have access to the database in order to view these files. Accordingly, PTC has made a policy change designed to make it easy and straightforward for customers to take advantage of the single database structure of the next generation of Pro/INTRALINK for accessing viewables, without requiring additional purchases to attain the same level of viewing manipulation that exists with Pro/INTRALINK 3.x and the ProductView Graphics Server. Please see here for all the details.

If you still have questions or want to share your experience about the visualization capabilities then visit our forum, I would like to hear from you.

All the best,

Tom
